It is not your fault, it is not your singing teacher’s fault, it is no one’s fault because physical training- prescribing the appropriate exercises to build a Strong and Limber body for singing, is simply NOT the job for a singer teacher.

However, for me, a physiotherapist, exercise prescription is literally my job.

10-week Movement for Singers Program

Commences 6:15pm on Friday 13 June 2025 at Studio Tribe. 10-14 Payne Road. The GAP, Brisbane.

My signature Movement for Singers program is run as a recurring 10-week program, because consistency and progression matter when building a Strong and Limber body.

I’ve designed this program using body-weight based, Pilates-esque movement that incorporates voicing, Targeting all the essential Movement your body needs for Efficient Singing, such as:

  • ✅ Build a Strong Core for Breath and Postural Support
  • Mobility in your Thoracic Spine and Ribcage for Efficient Breathing
  • ✅ Special Breathing Exercises to improve your Breath Management
  • ✅ Back Strengthening for Easy Singing Alignment
  • ✅ Strengthening Neck and Shoulders for Happy Neck, Jaw and Larynx
  • Balance Training to support Diaphragm function
to specifically build a Strong and Limber body that unlocks Vocal Freedom.

These classes are not only great for Singers, they are also great for Speakers, Teachers, Coaches, Trainers, they are great for anyone who relies on their voice for clear and effective communication.

IMPORTANT

Movements and exercises in these classes require a base level of fitness and that you are able to exercise independently– being able to get onto the floor and back up, challenge your balance e.g. standing on one leg, unassisted and unsupervised.

These classes are NOT suitable for those with:

  • Recent injuries
  • Recent surgeries
  • Recent motor vehicle accidents
  • Those with condition that can adversely affects balance such as vertigo, dizziness, whiplash associated disorders, postural hypotension
  • Chronic pain
  • Eye pressure conditions such as glaucoma
  • Blood pressure conditions
  • Impaired sensations
  • Neurological conditions

It doesn’t matter how much you practise, singing alone will not magically give you a Strong BOdy…
